One of the best ways of getting more customers and also generating profit for a direct sales consultant business is to host a party. Here are some tips which will help you in case you are overwhelmed at the thought of hosting one:

1) Start preparing well in advance and come up with a list of goals that need to be achieved by hosting the party. Send invitations to the list of people on the specific date and include the directions to the place where the party is held, clearly. Another thing that you can do is to provide the website information with a list of products so that it gives the guests an idea of what to expect.

2) While a direct sales party is a way to communicate, get knowledge on the product, you should remember that the direct sales party is first a party and is meant to be enjoyed with lots of fun. Plan some exciting games for the attendees. Social activities like the scavenger hunt can break the ice between guests and are a nice way to have fun as well.

3) Plan for things like the type of food that will on the buffet, seating arrangements and of course the place to display your products. The products should be made easily accessible to the everyone and they should able to touch and feel them so that they can get an idea about the product and its worthiness.

4) Most importantly you need to talk to the audience about the the product and of course thank them for coming to the party. Prepare a pep speech in advance and try to sprinkle it with humor.

5) Make sure that the party is started on time and is also wrapped up on time. People might have other commitments and this is the reason things have to be on time.

Why do people decide to finally join an MLM company?

Why do people decide to finally join an MLM company?

This is a really good question and one that you should know the answer to if you’re going to make it big in this industry.

Most people spend so much time prospects that they forget what the industry is all about and what it really means to so many people. What makes this industry different than any other industry is that it is all about the social relationships.

If you are a salesman this is going to have you scratching your head. A salesman sees products and all they are interested in doing is selling them. Once they recruit a new person and bring them into their organization they are already looking for the next SALE – never realizing that the REAL MONEY is inside the network of that NEW person they just enrolled.

But what makes people join an MLM in the first place?

If you want to know what makes a person tick and why they are looking for an opportunity, why not ASK ? It makes sense does it not? There is no better person to tell you what they are looking for, or what’s most important to them…or why they would even be looking for an opportunity in the first place…THAN YOUR PROSPECT!

The professional business builder doesn’t start off by pitching their company or their products. In fact, if they are asked they will answer with a question. For example

“So what makes your company A different?” They would simple take control of the conversation by asking.

“That’s a really good question (prospects name here), and I’m happy to answer it, but first may I ask you a few questions?

Where most people go wrong in the industry is that as soon as they get a prospect on the phone, they fail to ever to know that real person, the go straight for that sale
Wouldn't it be nice to know what they are looking for?

If you found the right company…what exactly would you be looking for in a that company? What’s most important to you?

Have you been involved with any companies in the past?

What was your level of success with those companies?

Why did or didn't you do so well?

What would you do differently if you could go back ?

If you can find out this information about your prospects, I PROMISE you that your recruiting numbers will increase dramatically.

IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW THAT IT’S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY!

You see… most new multi level marketers think that MLM is all about the money. They get enamored by the monthly check and they start out on a recruiting frenzy This will likely lead to a burnt out unhappy business owner pulling their hair out looking for what has went wrong.

In fact the only question these people ever ask other marketers is “How much money are you making?”

It’s important to know that people get involved in Network Marketing for a different reasons. for instance:

1. They want to be part of something (A lot of people like the social aspect of belonging to something)

2. They want to make a difference, or give back in some way. (Some do it for charitable causes)

3. They want to better their themselves. They may want to improve in the area of leadership skills and personal development

4. They want to improve their marketing skills.

5. They want to help other people succeed in life (to motivation and inspiration).

6. They want to be their own boss and work whenever they want (either part time or full time).

7. They’ve had a profound experience with the company’s products and want to share that experience

8. desire to make more money – in some cases a lot more money

It's important to understand that people get into the industry for more reasons than just the money.

Remember that Network Marketing is a social business - finding out what’s most important to your prospect and then showing them how your company, product or service can be part of that solution. The statement that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

Understand What’s Most Important To Your Prospects before you end up losing people simply because you didn’t ask the right questions. Get to know what is inside a person’s mind and what is inside their heart.

If you want to find out more about your prospect ask them this.

“So tell me…What made you get involved with the Network Marketing Industry? What do you like best about it? What do you like least about it?

Let the person talk as long as they want. TAKE NOTES!!!

Remember that it takes up to 12 exposures to enroll a person into an MLM company (stats from the Direct Seller’s Association). It rarely happens on the first exposure. So don’t try and rush closing your new business partners. The more you find out about them, the easier it will be to bring them on board your team.
Classified ads can be a good way to attract business to your company. When placed in the right media, they can attract customers who are currently looking to buy what you sell. However they must be well-written to get positive results.

"Well-written" doesn't mean it is lengthy, and it doesn't mean you need to write in full sentences. What it does mean is that the headline and body of the ad must be carefully designed. To be effective, the headline and body must inform the readers in just a few short words what you sell, why they will want to buy from you and what action you want them to take (for instance, click a link for more information , send away for information or call you on the phone.)

The headline (or first couple of bold-faced words in an ad without a headline) should stop the reader's eye and encourage them to scan the rest of the ad. Words that promise a benefit such as "free," "fast," "reliable" combined with a term that summarizes what they want to acquire works well to drag the their eye into the rest of the ad.

Although the number of words you can use may be limited by the media or by how much you're willing to spend, don't cut so many words out of the text that the ad becomes meaningless. To make sure your ad is clear, have a few friends and family members read the ad before you submit it. If they don’t understand what you're selling and why someone should call you, rewrite the ad.

It may be a good idea to look at your competitors ads or similar companies. Take into consideration what you like and don't like about their ads before construction your own. Market research is also a good tool to use before placing and ad.

The final and most important thing in any ad campaign is find a way to make it stand out. I worked for a company that would place the ad telling the customer to ask for Martha. As far as I know Martha never worked for them but it gave them a way to know whether that ad was the on drawling in the Customers or if it was something else they where doing. This will help you to know what your doing is successful or if its best to try another venue the next time your placing an ad.
Starting a business? Are you eager to turn your talents into a money-making business? Running your own business can be rewarding in many ways, but before you give up your day job, be sure you are realistic about what you'll be doing when you become the boss.
It is important to be realistic about what you'll gain.
One of the main reasons that people leave the corporate world is a desire to "be my own boss." Being your own boss is highly overrated. You are by far the most demanding boss you will ever have. When you're self-employed, you don't get the luxury of checking out when you leave the office. Your work takes up some portion of your mind 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year. Your business, your customers' experience and your employees' livelihoods live and die on the decisions you make. That's a lot of pressure, and you'll make demands on yourself accordingly. You have to in order to be successful. You may not be answering to one person in particular, but that doesn't mean you're not answering to anyone.
Other major drivers for starting your own business can be money, quality of life, fame or expertise. All of these are good reasons to switch careers, but most of the time you won't be able to achieve any of them overnight. Be realistic about how much time it will take to achieve your goals. This is a great opportunity to say the age old adage if it seems to good to be true then your parents are right it probably is.

Be ready to start at the bottom. You may be extremely good at what you do, but when people start paying you not a known company for it, you are subject to a new set of standards. You must first build a name and a reputation for yourself in your new field. Unless you are some kind of celebrity or have been publicly praised in the media for your work prior to starting your own business no one and I do mean no one knows who you are. It will take work just educating the potential customers to what you do and get name recognition in the field. Be patient don't expect miracles and pace your self. Allow time for the transition and don't get in a hurry to tell the boss to "take this job and shove it." As with any job, there will be highs and lows. The more passionate you are about your job, the more personal those highs and lows get. When you pour your blood, sweat and tears into building your dream business, each accomplishment can put you on top of the world, but each criticism can be equally devastating.

Working for "the man" is definitely the safer more mundane route in life. However as For the thrill seekers among us, straying off on your own to pursue your dream can be incredibly rewarding, albeit challenging and even scary at times. Just be prepared for what you're getting yourself into and enjoy the ride.
A flyer is a promotional document used to advertise a product or service. Sample flyers can be used as a guideline in creating other flyers. Many consumers want to know how to make free sample flyers instead of paying a company for this service. Advantages of making your sample flyers at home include control over your layout, design and costs. Templates are available online for download, but if you have a slow Internet connection, you can easily create your own sample flyers without Internet access.

The zeigarnik effect.

What is it, and how on earth does it apply to article marketing?

The web (wikipedia) definition of the zeigernik effect is as follows:

In psychology, the Zeigarnik effect states that people remember uncompleted or interrupted tasks better than completed tasks.

So how does this apply to article marketing, and why is it so important?

Well, you need to bear this in mind when writing your articles.

It should apply strongly in at least FOUR areas: the title, the teaser paragraph, the last paragraph and the bio box.

The idea here is to make the reader want to click through and carry on reading. You need to steer away from actually completing the article, and leave some intriguing, ‘untied ends’, so that the reader desires to continue reading on, even if that means clicking through to your website (which of course is what you want).

As mentioned, there are four areas to apply this too, and the first one is the title. You need to create intrigue enough to make them wonder what the article could possibly discuss.

For example: “5 Things You Should Always Do Before Leaving The House”

Next is the teaser. It’s called a teaser paragraph for a reason, and if you can help it, you should avoid simply copy and pasting the first paragraph.

If speed is important, one thing I find effective is to stop the sentence part of the way through and put ellipses (three dots…) just when you’re about to answer a question. This will pull the reader through to read the rest of the article.

For example: The following article will discuss 5 things that you should always do before leaving your home. I’ll bet that you’ll never have thought of the number one thing you should do, and I guarantee you haven’t been doing it. And that is…

Last is the final paragraph and resource box. You could use this technique solely on the resource box if you want, as I know that Ezine Articles let you use up to 300 words.

You need to tell the reader that what you have discussed in the article is only a little bit of information, and if they want the full facts, they better click through to your website.

“These 5 things are only the tip of the iceburg when it comes to leaving your house. And if you want to be safe, I’d encourage you to read the extra 15 tips over at mywebsite.com”

You need to be compelling with your articles. I know this can be a little daunting when you’re concentrating on cranking out as many articles as you can, but it won’t add too much time onto article creation, whereas it WILL encourage waaaaay more clickthroughs.

5 successful marketing techniques

Here are 5 successful marketing techniques you can use to increase your sales. All of them are simple to use. And they're effective for building any businesses.

1. Keep Adding Something New
Every time you add something new to your business you create an opportunity to get more sales. For example, something as simple as adding new information on your web site creates another selling opportunity when prospects and customers visit your site to see the new information.

Adding a new product or service to the list of those you already offer usually produces a big increase in sales. The added product increases your sales in 3 different ways:

* It attracts new customers who were not interested in your current products and services.
* It generates repeat sales from existing customers who also want to have your new product.
* It enables you to get bigger sales by combining 2 or more items into special package offers.

2. Become a Valuable Resource
Look for ways you can be a resource for your prospects and customers. Supply them with free information. Help them do things faster, easier, less expensively. You get another opportunity to sell something every time they come back to you for help.

3. Separate Yourself from Your Competition
Find or create a reason for customers to do business with you instead of with someone else offering the same or similar products. For example, do you provide faster results, easier procedures, personal attention or a better guarantee?

Determine the unique advantage you offer to customers that your competitors do not offer. Promote that advantage in all of your advertising. Give your prospects a reason to do business with you instead of with your competition and you'll automatically get more sales.

4. Promote the End Result
Your customers don't really want your product or service. They want the benefit produced by using it.

For example, car buyers want convenient transportation with a certain image. Dental patients want healthy and good-looking teeth without suffering any pain. Business opportunity seekers want personal and financial freedom for themselves and their family.

Make sure your web pages, sales letters and other sales messages are promoting the end result your customers want.

5. Anticipate Change
Change is the biggest challenge to your business success. The days are gone when a business could constantly grow by simply repeating what it did successfully in the past ...or even recently. Aggressive, innovative competitors and rapidly changing technology make it impossible.

Expect change and prepare for it. Don't wait until your income declines to take action. Develop the habit of looking for early signs that something is changing. Then confront it before you start to lose business.

Tip: Insulate yourself against the impact of change by increasing the number of products and services you offer and by using a variety of different marketing methods. Only a small portion of your total business will be affected if the sales of one product decline or the response to one marketing method drops.
